Redeeming Love Bible Broadcast
Redeeming Love Bible Broadcast
The LORD's Love for You
Can salvation really be a gift that requires nothing from us but acceptance? Drawing from the powerful message in Romans 5:8, we look at how God's boundless love, demonstrated through Christ's ultimate sacrifice, offers us a precious relationship free from the chains of sin. We reflect on God's unwavering will to restore humanity and the comforting ministry of the Holy Spirit towards the lost, emphasizing that salvation is not something we earn but graciously receive.
NEW BOOK! I'm pleased to say that we have completed a new book that has been years in the making. The Ten Shirot: Songs of Redemption looks at ten songs that were sung through pivotal times in Scripture. It's an examination of the redemption of Jesus, of worship, and of Scripture in a way that we believe you probably haven't seen before. Check it out at https://a.co/d/0a4KIooL .

I'm Phil Duddy, evangelist with Grace Baptist Tabernacle of King, north Carolina, really really glad to have you with me on the program today. Thankful to the Lord that you're here, as always. Please do feel free and welcome to reach out to us at RedeemingTheLost at iCloudcom. Today we're going to be following up on our last broadcast. We're going to be emphasizing the heart of the Father, the provision of Jesus and the ministry of the Holy Spirit towards the lost. On our last broadcast we were looking at, you know, one thing among many we were looking at on the last broadcast is that our sufficiency is in the Holy Spirit. And in the Holy Spirit we are fully equipped already because of the completed work of Jesus Christ, because of the indwelling Holy Ghost and because of the will of the Father, we are fully equipped to do the work of an evangelist. And today we are going to be in the book of Romans, chapter 5. We're just going to look at one sentence from the Word of God, romans, chapter 5, verse 8. But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, christ died for us and hallelujah, amen. We ought to all be rejoicing here because the heart of the Father here, the heart of God, the heart of the Lord, toward the lost. It led to him providing Jesus Christ. It led to him providing the blood of Jesus. It led to him providing the cross. It led to him making a provision of the blood of Jesus that would completely wash away sin. It would completely forgive sin. God would be faithful and just to forgive anybody who believes on Jesus, anybody who hears the word of God, anybody who believes him, anybody who puts their faith in it, anybody who submits to Jesus and follows Jesus and walks with Jesus. God is faithful and just to forgive sin. And it was the very heart of the Father that led to him making that provision so that we could be forgiven, so that anybody could be forgiven. Not based on what we do or what we don't do, not based on us shedding our own blood you know hallelujah for that, you know. Not based on us shedding blood ourselves. Not based on us giving a lot of money, not based on us memorizing a lot of scripture, but just simply receiving what God has already done, simply receiving what the Lord has already provided in Jesus Christ, what Jesus Christ himself personally provided by obeying the will of his Father. Jesus obeyed the will of the Father and in obeying the will of the Father, jesus himself went to the cross. Jesus laid down his life on the cross and this was a willing thing on his behalf. He would say that nobody took his life from him, but he laid it down. Nobody took his life from him, but he laid it down. Why did he lay it down? Because it was God's will to make a provision on behalf of humanity. It was God's will because God wants to reconcile us to himself, and that is a glorious thing.
Speaker 1:And the book of Romans talks about God commending his love toward us. God makes his love really manifest. He makes His love really, really easy to see. And how did he do this? While we were yet sinners. Christ died for us While we were yet sinners. This is the will of God.
Speaker 1:This is the will of God toward a sinner, towards somebody who sins, towards somebody who walks around living life apart from God, towards somebody who is an enemy of God. God has this will, and God made this provision, to even reconcile his worst enemy to himself. To reconcile, to make it as though sin never happened, to make it as though there was, you know, to restore, for lack of a better term. I mean because reconcile is a major word folks To make it so that the best way I can put it is that sin never happened and there's this precious, holy, good, strong, vibrant, life-filled relationship with God that goes on all the time, the way that we, you know, god originally formed us to be. God originally formed and he designed us to be before sin came in, before sin broke that relationship before people started being born. Sin broke that relationship before people started being born in sin. And every one of us today, in the year 2024, we were all born in sin and we all have a need for this reconciliation.
Speaker 1:And so this is how God views the lost he wants the lost to be reconciled. He doesn't want the lost to perish in sin, and so we need to look at the reality of who the lost are perish in sin, and so we need to look at the reality of who the lost are. People who are lost are suffering the consequences on a daily basis of living apart from the Lord Suffering anxieties, suffering loneliness, suffering hatred, suffering fear, suffering addictions, suffering in lust, suffering in lust, and the reality is the Lord does not want that to continue. The Lord does not want that to continue. The Lord does not desire anybody to perish in sin. The Lord doesn't desire anybody to know and experience the results of loneliness, to know hatred, to know fear, to know addiction, to know anxiety, to know lust, to know that the pain and the consequence and the hurt that goes along with those things, that's not God's desire for you.
Speaker 1:And that's a major thing, because a lot of destruction that we experience, a lot of destruction that I experienced in my life before I was born again, a lot of it was really needless and a lot of it was really pointless. And it's needless and pointless because God doesn't desire that for you. God has made a provision for you and you don't need to do anything special to receive it. You don't need to memorize the whole Bible or go and give all your money to a church. No, that's not what God wants. God wants you to simply receive what he has done.
Speaker 1:Because the reality is, none of us can do anything about our sin, none of us can do enough to make ourselves holy and none of us can do enough, none of us can give enough, none of us can perform enough, none of us can do anything to erase one lie and None of us can give enough. None of us can perform enough. None of us can do anything to erase one lie. None of us can do anything to erase one moment of theft. God, none of us can do anything to erase the consequences of hatred in our hearts toward other people. We can't do anything on our own to deal with sin, and the best we can do is maybe change one or two behaviors. But we can't change the heart. We can't change the inside. We can't go back and erase it. We can't go back and make it like it never happened. But God can and does do that.
Speaker 1:And God does a whole lot more as well, because God makes you new. God makes you different. God makes you a new creature in Christ. God gives you a new heart, god gives you a new head. He gives you a new mind. He gives you the mind of Christ. God gives you a new and living spirit and, what's more, god forgets the sin. The sin is washed away and there's fellowship and relationship there, as if the sin never happened. God looks at you and he sees someone who's holy. God looks at you and he sees Jesus himself, because you're in Jesus and Jesus is in you. He sees the holiness of Jesus. He sees the goodness of Jesus, he sees Jesus in you, and so God sees that he no longer sees the sin the Bible says. He separates you as far as the east is from the west, from your sin. He even casts it into a sea of forgetfulness.
Speaker 1:And that is good news, my friend, because to receive this, you know, all you have to do is receive it. We receive it. We submit to Jesus. We hear the word of God. We submit to Jesus. We encounter Jesus. We submit to Jesus. We believe Jesus. We submit to Jesus. We believe Jesus. Our faith is in Jesus, our trust is in Jesus. We call upon the name of Jesus and Jesus responds by saving us. Jesus responds by saving us from the wrath of God. We are saved, we are delivered. We are born again. We are made new. We are adopted. We are delivered. We are born again. We are made new, we are adopted and the healing begins.
Speaker 1:Now, my friend, you know I think we all have consequences for sin that we walk through. We all have healing that God works out in us. We all have relationships that you know. Maybe you've hurt a lot of people in your sin and you go back to those people and you confess your faults, you go back to those people and you make restitution and make reconciliation happen and you make peace with those people. And whatever the case may be, you know it might be something small, it might be something really big, but there are consequences to sin that you walk through. But you don't walk through those yourself. Jesus walks you through those, he leads you through those as your king, as your Lord, as the lover of your soul, and there's a healing, and there's a healing, and there's a healing, and there's a healing. And there's a healing, and there's a healing, and there's a healing, there's a healing and there's a peace, and and there's there's just a vibrant life that the Lord has for you. And, and the good thing is, he commends his love toward us.
Speaker 1:You know this means, you know, if you're listening to this and you're in sin, you're a sinner. You know, to use the language of Romans five, while we were yet sinners, you're a sinner. Jesus Christ died for us. This is how God proves that he does really love you. He does really love you and you might have done some heinous things. You might have been involved. You might be involved while you're listening to this, with some really, really, really twisted stuff, some really perverse stuff, some really violent stuff, some really bad stuff. But the case is that God loves you. God loves you no matter what you have done, no matter what you haven't done. You might be listening to this and you know you're a person.
Speaker 1:You're in church all the time, you're in your Bible all the time. You grew up in a Christian home and a Christian family and you haven't done any of the really really heinous stuff, but you're in church and you've got a lust inside that is eating you alive. You're in church, you hear the gospel preached, you can quote the Bible, you can witness to other people, you've got all the knowledge, but your heart is far from Jesus. You honor Jesus with your lips, but your heart, your heart, your heart is far from him. And God is looking at the heart today and God is showing you that you have all the knowledge, you have all the Christian school stuff, you have all the degrees in the seminaries. You might even have a position. You might even be a pastor, you might be a deacon, you might be a pastor's wife, you might be a deacon's wife, whatever the case may be, and God is just showing you yeah, you're doing the Christian stuff, and yet the heart is far from me.
Speaker 1:You've got an anger, you've got a murder, You've got an anxiety, you've got an ungodly fear, and that is your God. You, you've got a murder, you've got an anxiety, you've got an ungodly fear, and that is your God. You're worshiping that, you're honoring God with your lips, but your heart is far from him and he wants to do something about that today. And the reality is he already has done something. He's drawn you to himself. He's saying come home. He's saying submit to me. He's saying believe me. He's saying follow me. He's saying call upon my name. He's saying put your trust in me and I will make you a new creature, no matter what your situation is, no matter what your background is, whether you're a dead church person, spiritually dead, or whether you're somebody you've never even walked into a church in your life. And you know, whatever the case may be, you know wherever you are, whosoever you are. That is so much a part of the good news God has for you.
Speaker 1:No matter who you are, no matter where you are, no matter what you've done, no matter what you haven't done, god loves you still and God wants you. God doesn't want you to end it all. God doesn't want you to commit suicide. God doesn't want you to stay in depression. God doesn't want you to stay in loneliness. God doesn't want you to stay under the guilt and under the crushing weight of the guilt. God doesn't want you to stay consumed by the lust. God doesn't want you in an addiction. God doesn't want you full of hatred. God doesn't want you full of misery. God doesn't want you full of torment. No, god wants you with him. God wants you in Jesus. God wants you seated right next to him in heavenly places. God wants you as an adopted son, as an adopted daughter.
Speaker 1:God wants you to be born again. God wants you to be forgiven. God wants you to be clean. God wants you to be pure. God wants you to be holy. Good news is God makes you pure, god makes you holy. God makes you good. God makes you forgiven. God makes you to be born again.
Speaker 1:God does these things. He's looking for somebody who's going to believe him today. He's looking for somebody who's going to have faith today. He's looking for somebody who's going to have trust today. He's looking for somebody who's going to follow him, somebody who's going to yield to him, somebody who's going to submit to him, somebody who's going to love him in return, because he loves you. He loves you with a love that is boundless, that is endless, that is without any beginning, without any end. He is love and he loves you and he passionately loves you to the point that he, jesus Christ, laid down his life, suffered a criminal's death, became your sin, became your despair, became your gloom, became your doom, became your addiction, became your violence, became your pride, became your ego, became your murder, became your drunkenness, became your blasphemies, became your idolatries, became all of your adultery and your fornication, your whoredom and your whoremongering. Whatever the case is, god became it, he became it and he died an atoning death in your place so that you will not perish but you will have everlasting life.
Speaker 1:And so trust Jesus today, my friend. Trust Jesus today because, hallelujah, he has a heart for you, he has a love for you, he has a passion for you and he is drawing you to himself today. He doesn't want you to perish in sin. He doesn't want you to go through life experiencing all the death and destruction that comes along with sin and then have hell in an eternity. But no, no, no, no, my friend, he wants you to have everlasting life.
Speaker 1:And if you're hearing this today, it's not an accident. If you're hearing this today, it's not a mistake. You're not an accident, you're not a mistake. You're somebody that God loves, and you're somebody that God knows is in sin. And the fact that you're in sin does not mean that he doesn't love you. The fact that you're in sin does not change the fact that he loves you. It does not disqualify you from this word, from this verse, that he commends his love toward you.
Speaker 1:You can write your name there. No matter what your name is, you can write it there. But God commendeth his love toward you in that, while you are yet a sinner, christ died for you, and he died for you for a purpose. He died for you for a reason so that you might be gloriously saved from the wrath of God, you might be miraculously born again, you might be transferred from death into life, you might be filled with a new spirit, you might have an eternal life that starts today.
Speaker 1:So, my friend, call upon the name of Jesus Christ with a heart full of faith. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ from the depths of your sin, from a heart that's broken over your sin, from a heart that knows that you're in sin, a heart that knows that your sin hit God before it hit anybody else, a heart that is just simply tender and pierced and pricked and responding to the Lord. And if you're responding right now and you're thinking you need Jesus, my friend, don't even wait another second, but call upon Jesus, wherever you are, just like he's standing right next to you, just like he's sitting right in front of you. He's alive and he's looking for a heart that's going to believe him. And if you're humble and if you're contrite and if you're full of faith today in Jesus, and if you're contrite and if you're full of faith today in Jesus, he will not despise you. But call upon him today and be born again today. And, my friend, thank you so much for listening to this, thank you so much for being a part of the broadcast, thank you for promoting the broadcast, thank you for sharing the broadcast.
