Hello and welcome to the Redeeming Love Bible Broadcast. My name is Phil Duddy, evangelist with Grace Baptist Tabernacle of King, north Carolina. Very happy to have you with me on the program today as we conclude our series that is called With you. This is going to be part three of that series, and always feel free to reach out to us at redeemingthelost at iCloudcom. We would love to hear from you there.
Speaker 1:So let's go on over to Matthew 28. As I said, today we are going to be concluding our series called With you and we're going to be concluding that series with a really really, really powerful encouragement for Christians who are obeying the Lord Jesus when it comes to going and when it comes to making disciples. And so the Lord's got a real encouragement for us today and he's got it in Matthew, chapter 28. So let's flip over there and let's read from verse 18 down to the end of the book. This is what the Word of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever. I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen, amen, amen and amen. And one of the great encouragements in this. If you look at these verses, everything is based on who Jesus is and what Jesus has done. We go back up to verse 18. All power is given unto me. That's Jesus talking. All power is given unto Jesus in heaven and in earth. Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in whose name? The name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. It's not our name, it's not a human name, it's not, you know, a person's name. This is baptizing them in the Lord's name, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, whatsoever Jesus has commanded. So we are teaching people to observe all things that Jesus commanded. And again, that doesn't come from us. We are making disciples, not of ourselves, but disciples of Jesus, and we teach those disciples to observe things whatsoever Jesus commanded us. We're baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Spirit.
Speaker 1:We're going on the basis of who Jesus is and what Jesus has done. There's really nothing of the human here. There's nothing of the world here. There's nothing of the flesh here. The reality is that Jesus has done everything and Jesus does do everything and Jesus will do everything. And we are going on the basis of what he's done on the cross. We're going on the basis of his shed blood. We're going on the basis of the fact and the reality that Jesus became our sin and Jesus died and Jesus rose again and Jesus is alive today. We're going on the basis of the reality that the Father wanted that to happen and that Jesus willingly submitted to that and that today, glory be to God. Here today, the Holy Ghost is indwelling everyone who's born again, everyone who's saved, everyone who believes Jesus, everyone who's born again, and we can't get over this reality that the Holy Ghost is indwelling us.
Speaker 1:We're going on the basis of these things that God has already done. We're going on the basis that God has done everything and that whatsoever we receive from God, we received it from God. We didn't take it ourselves, we didn't make it ourselves, we didn't make it happen, we didn't force God to give anything to us, we didn't figure God out, we didn't do everything right and then God had to do something. It's not transactional, but we're going on the fact that the Father loves the Son. The Son loves the Father. Out of love, the Father gave his only begotten Son. Out of love, jesus went and Jesus was given and Jesus lived and Jesus bore witness to the truth and Jesus, at the end of that time, he yielded up his life, he gave up his life. At the end of that time he went to the cross. He went to the cross willingly. He finished a work on the cross. He finished the work of our salvation on the cross. He finished the work. I mean. The devil was defeated at the cross. Satan himself was defeated at the cross. He finished that work. He finished the work of our salvation and it's such a complete thing, it's such a totally complete thing that, in reality, sin is really no longer an issue, because Jesus died on the cross and hallelujah, he said it is finished. It is finished and salvation, my friend, this is why sin's no longer the issue.
Speaker 1:Salvation is by grace and through faith in Jesus Christ. By grace and through faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord himself took your sin. He took my sin. He took the sin of the whole world, sin. He took my sin. He took the sin of the whole world. He took the sin of every man, woman and child that you see, and he became sin and he laid down his life. And he said and it was pleasing, it was pleasing to the Father, the blood that Jesus shed, the life that Jesus laid down and the death that Jesus died, that was pleasing to the Father. My sin is there and your sin is there. And the reality is that every lost man, woman and child, their sin was there. And then he turns around and he says well, salvation is by grace and through faith. And so the reality is, my friend, are you yielding to Jesus? Are you believing Jesus? Is your faith in Jesus the people that you minister to Christian? Is their faith in Jesus? Is their faith in Him, in Him as a living God, on the basis of who he is, not just on the basis of what he's done, but on the basis of who he is. That this lord, hallelujah and amen.
Speaker 1:There there is a mercy in action, there is a love in action. There is, and it's in action because god looks at this world and he loves it. He looks at these people and he loves them, even because the reality is, you know, the world's fallen People are fallen People sin and by default, we have no other option. We're born into our sin and we have no other option but to sin. But God sees this and God knows this and, what's more, god loves, because he is love. And so what did God do? He said I want there to be a way for people to be saved from my wrath. I want for there to be a way for people to be forgiven. I want restoration, I want reconciliation, I want a redeemed relationship and I don't want sin to be in the picture anymore. And so I'm going to deal with sin. That's what God did and you notice, that's what God did. That's what God did Because we're looking back on the cross I'm recording this in 2024 we're looking back on the cross.
Speaker 1:The cross happened from our perspective. It happened in the past and it is finished because, though it happened in the past, my friend, it's got every impact on our present. The cross happened in the past and it impacts our present. It impacts today, it impacts tomorrow, it impacts the next day, it impacts all the way to new heaven and new earth. The cross is that impactful and we are going and we are making disciples as the church, and what jesus is our head and that, and the reality is that he has done everything. It is finished.
Speaker 1:Um hallelujah. He was born of a virgin glory and amen, he, he, he went and he preached and he ministered and he healed and he fulfilled prophecy after prophecy after prophecy. He went and he laid down his life, he shed his blood. He's risen again and the blood is acceptable in the Lord's sight. And so the work of salvation is finished, the work of atonement is finished. It's finished. And we are going and we are teaching all nations and we are going and we are making disciples and we are going and baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son and the Spirit.
Speaker 1:And the basis is who the Lord is and what the Lord has done.
Speaker 1:And the reality is it is finished.
Speaker 1:And so what do we have to do as a church?
Speaker 1:Hallelujah and amen. We receive, we believe, we receive and we believe we receive and we submit and we obey and we walk this out. But the basis is not in us humanly. The basis is not in our human charisma, it's not in our skill as a speaker, it's not in you know the way we look. It's not in anything like that. It's not in anything human, but it's not in you know the way we look. It's not in um, anything like that, it's not in anything human, but it's got everything to do with jesus. It's everything to do with jesus and he's risen today and he makes this promise.
Speaker 1:He says lo, I am with you always. You know, right at the end of matthew 28, 20 lo, I am with you always, lo j. He calls special attention to this reality that he is with you always. He's with you every minute, he's with you every hour, he's with you every day, he's with you every week, he's with you every year, he's with you in every season, he's with you in every time. He is with us.
Speaker 1:Not only did he command us to go, on the basis of who he is and what he's done, but he said okay, I'm not going to leave you alone. You go and you make disciples, but I am with you always. You go and you teach all nations. I am with you always. You go and you baptize in the name of the Father, son and Spirit. I am with you always, always, always, always, always, always.
Speaker 1:See, he doesn't just sort of stand back, he doesn't just sort of stand up on a mountain somewhere. He doesn't sort of stand up, you know far away, and say, okay, you go, do it and I'm going to watch you. No, he is with us. He's with us. Okay, you go do it and I'm going to watch you. No, he is with us, he's with us and you know amen today, the Holy Ghost is with us. The Holy Ghost is in us. We are in Christ and Christ is in us. The Holy Spirit is in us. We've got Spirit of God, we've got Spirit of God leading us. We've got Spirit of God leading us and leading us and leading us. And hallelujah, he's with us, he's with us. He's not far away, somewhere, he's not even three feet away, he's not even one meter away, but he is with us, always, always, always, always. And bless God, the Holy Ghost is here. Bless God. The Holy Ghost is in us. Bless God.
Speaker 1:The Lord never leaves us, the Lord never forsakes us, but he is with us as we are going and as we are doing this, as we are going and as we are teaching as we are going and making disciples as we are going and we are witnessing as we are going and we are teaching as we're going and making disciples as we're going and we are witnessing as we're going and we are preaching as we're going and we're ministering as we're going and we're praying as we're going and we're baptizing. He's with us. He's with us in our church meetings. He's with us in the church services. He's with us outside of the church services. He's with us all the time as we are going, as we are going, as we are going, because, hallelujah and amen, he doesn't want to leave us alone. Church we're restored to him. Church we're redeemed by him. Church we're in relationship with him.
Speaker 1:And the glorious reality is that the Lord does not want to leave us alone, and so he doesn't. The Lord does not want to leave us. He purchased us, he redeemed us, he ransomed us. He's forgiven us, he's washed away the sin. He's made us born again. All things are made new in him. He gave us a new mind, he gave us a living spirit. He quickened our dead spirit. Now we are alive. And he gave us the Holy Ghost, quickened our dead spirit. Now we are alive. And he gave us the holy ghost. And, my friend, you've got some gifts from the holy ghost. My friend, you've got some blessings in the holy ghost. My friend, you are seated with christ in heavenly places. And, my friend, we are the recipients of every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. And so the lord doesn't leave us alone because he doesn't want to leave us alone. My friend, that would be terrible for us if the Lord left us alone. And so he doesn't do it, amen. And so he is with us at all times. He says I'm with you always, even until the end of the world.
Speaker 1:As we're going about, as we are making disciples, we got to keep in mind that there is an end of the world. There is a set time of completion when it comes to this age. There is a set time of completion and consummation when it comes to this time, because we are living in the acceptable year of the Lord, we are living in the church age, we are living in an age of grace and the goodness of God and the mercy of God and the long suffering of God and the blessing of God and the grace of God is on display like never before. Because, man, there is a time and you're living in this time where salvation, salvation is by grace and through faith. I mentioned that earlier. It's salvation by grace and through faith Because the Lord Jesus has done everything and we can take it back.
Speaker 1:The Father provided the Son, the Father gave the Son Because sin could only be dealt with by the blood. That's the only way that sin could be dealt with. It was by the blood, and God didn't want it to be our blood, he didn't want it to be our death, he didn't want it to be us. And so the Lord moved himself in such a way that the Son came and he took on flesh. Jesus Christ came in the flesh, and the Lord moved Himself in such a way that Jesus Himself and Jesus called Himself the resurrection and the life. But he moved Himself in such a way that he died. He shed blood and he died, in such a way that he died. He shed blood and he died, and the Father laid all of our sin on Jesus and he died On that cross. Jesus became our sin and the Father laid our sin upon him and Jesus died.
Speaker 1:And I can't underscore the reality enough that Jesus experienced death. God himself, the Lord himself, experienced death. Now, glory amen. He didn't stay dead, he's alive today and glory hallelujah. He's never going to die again, but he sure experienced it, but he's alive today. And then it goes on, because the reality is that we've got the Holy Ghost.
Speaker 1:The Lord moved himself in such a way that the Spirit of God indwells the church. Jesus is our head and the Spirit of God indwells every single member, every single man, woman and child who is a born again, saved, blood-bought, blood-washed, forgiven member of the church. The Spirit of God indwells all of us and the Father. The Father is pleased at this, the Father is pleased and the Lord is pleased. And so we're living in a time of history that is unparalleled. We're living in a time of history.
Speaker 1:I mean, there is a Gentile church. Hallelujah, you know, salvation came to the Jew first and also to the Gentile, and the Gentile is grafted in. And that, my friend, is the goodness of God on display. The existence of the Gentile church is the goodness of God on display. The goodness of God is on display toward Israel. There is a covenant that the Lord made a long time ago, but that covenant has not diminished one bit. There's a covenant in place with Israel and glory, hallelujah and amen, because this is a time in history like no other.
Speaker 1:The goodness of God is on such display, and yet there is an end of the world, there is a completion of this age and we, my friend, we make disciples up until the end of that last day. Up until the end of that last day we make disciples and the Lord is with us through every single day, until the completion of this world. King James reads the end of the world, the completion of this age. My friend, that's a glorious thing. The Lord is with us as we go and we make disciples. And, my friend, there is a glorious thing the Lord is with us as we go and we make disciples. And, my friend, there's a completion of it. There's an end to this church age. There's an ending point, and you know I don't know it and you know, go back in the word of God. Only his father knows it. That belongs to the father.
Speaker 1:I don't know, I can't give you a calendar date, but I can tell you that there is a last day of the last days. I can tell you there is a tribulation. I can tell you there is a millennial kingdom. I can tell you there's a new heaven and a new earth At the same time. I cannot tell you when the end of this age is, but I can tell you this that the Lord is with us always as we make disciples, and that call and that commission and that sending, that is in effect every single day, and the Lord is with us every single day.
Speaker 1:And, my friend, that ought to be such an encouragement to you, such a precious, precious encouragement that, as you are working in the fields, as you are ministering to the lost around you, as you're ministering in your countries and in your cities and your towns, wherever you happen to be, as you're ministering to folks, I want you to know and I want you to understand, I want you to remember and I want you to appreciate, I want you to rejoice in the fact that Jesus Christ is with you always. I want you to turn to Jesus. I want you to shout to Jesus. I want you to shout to Jesus, I want you to give you a hallelujah to Jesus. I want you to give your thanksgiving to Jesus because he is with you always. He is with you in the most intimate, personal sense of the word. He is with you, you are in Christ and Christ is in you Even into the end of the world. Bless God and amen.
Speaker 1:And so be encouraged in this and be excited in this as we go and we make disciples, because we don't go on the basis of our human ability, we don't go on the basis of who we are, we don't go on the basis of how good looking we are or anything like that, how well we can speak, but we go on the basis that Jesus himself is Lord, jesus himself has finished the work on the cross and Jesus himself is Lord, jesus himself has finished the work on the cross and Jesus himself is with us always, even until the end of this age. Bless God and amen, and I hope you're encouraged by that, and I want to thank you so much for joining me for this series. Yeah, three-part series. If you haven't heard parts one and two, go back and listen to those, and I hope the whole thing is just real encouragement to my brothers and my sisters around the world here. And I want to see the Lord initially gave me the vision for this to see people born again, to see people saved and to see the church edified and built up in these last days. I want to thank you for helping me to do that and I want to, you know, also remind you we are a ministry of Grace Baptist Tabernacle and we're located in King, north Carolina.
